Visual artist Salua Ares has been developing her artistic production through hybrid practices that radiate from photography. Her interest has focused on erasures. Erasing stories, spaces, identities. What resists or fades away, after all? In her works, Salua explores both the object and the physicality of matter, since she understands them as mediators of the human relationship with the world. She uses a minimalist aesthetic as a counterpoint to a society increasingly characterized by excesses and finds in the rigor of geometry an allusion to the control that man seeks to have over all things.  In 2023, her project "Azinhaga" was selected by the Nova Fotografia 2023 call for proposals, through which she had her first solo exhibition at MIS-SP.

Also in 2023, she participated in the III ACHO International Residency.

In 2021, she was selected for the Experimental Photography Festival (Barcelona/ES) and for the Pequeno Encontro da Fotografia (Pernambuco/ BR).
